Default My RX-7 - New wing, new hatch, new wheels and tires. :)

Here is my 1993 RX7 with some new goodies...

I had to get new tires and went from Michelin PS2 to Yokohama Advan Sport. I have to say running exact same size as PS2, I love the grip of Advan Sport much better than the PS2.

I also installed a new CF Hatch w/ Lexan glass and APR GT300 with with custom support bracket (mainly because running it with CF hatch).

Anyhow, here are few pics from a photoshoot the other day..

I hear ya. If was was to build an all go, full track/time attack car, with my average track driving skills, I would rip everything off and not even paint. I just love how some people just automatically think 'track' when they see a big wing, wide body, wheels, and some canards. Who gives a F*ck about track! If I had time and money to burn so I could learn about specific track and try to set better and better times.., sure I'll do it. But I see some cars that does that have even worse thought process that went into their car as mine. Just telling the truth.

I'll be in ATL for IA Spring As long as you will let me have some pics to show to my sponsors....

By the way, once the suspension and all is worked out, it will go on the track for some testing... make sure its 'track' and street ready... otherwise, its a riced out street car.

I'll be honest and hopefully not be taken offensive, but I don't like it at all. Too gaudy. Too much going on.

I can already tell that you're a bit testy when someone doesn't like your car, but that's my opinion, dude, so don't rail off on me. Later, QD.

LOL! I'm not 'testy' about opinions about my car. I am fully aware its just an opinion... some like stock looking un-molested body and some like the crazy useless parts on it. I on the other hand had this car for about 8 years and debated before going bit wild. It wasn't until I acquire a mint 94 SSM FD with mint original paint and 34K on the clock. SSM became my purist car and decided, 'why not just hack it up!'. That being said, I still have all my previous parts for this car and will be going back to less aggressive look later on.

    Like this...

But the car will go through one more change later this summer... then I'm changing it back sometime next year.

Unfortunately, I don't think I can as I have another engagement with the FD night before the IA. Did you wanted to shoot? If so, I might be able to bring it another weekend.

Is this the dude in the FD from that commercial that bottoms out going over a speed bump [too fast and too straight], cringes, then says, "I hate it when that happens!"?

What's the commercial for? lol! Wasn't it gasoline or fuel additive or a parts store? I don't even remember and I can't find video's of it anywhere - I'm sure it's a joke to the Mazda community haha!

It was for Texaco. Here is the link to that video that I uploaded couple of years ago..

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T9RsgMjAtuw

And yes, even though its cool to see early 90s cars still being used in today's commercials, its stupid that they dub'd the commercial and re using it in USA...

Also, that wing is far more worse than mine and the wheels.. YIKES!

I'm assuming the one in the video? If so, its Veilside wing from back in the days.. I think it was also called combat wing or something by those who replicated.. It was the only other wings available for FD back in mid 90's (or the really tall supra wings). Man, I feel old!
