    Haha at DO.

I will say this, the termonology serves its purpose. If i am shopping for wheels on CL, all i have to do is skip over anything with "Rim" in the title, and ive already weeded out 90% of the shit on there.

good work on the actual rim btw. looks good man

i'm a bit of a perfectionist, plus these things were haggard when i got them. i'm trying to make sure they match a new set of 2.5" lips when i get them. Dont wanna half ass polish front lips and them look dull, then have brand new lips that are twice as shiny.

People have been referring to wheels as rims since long before you were born, OP. I was talking about getting rims for my cars back in the mid 80's. No since in trying to change something that long precedes you.

I do like your VW, dude. And the rims suit it well, as well. Later, QD.

I appreciate you not getting "lippy" with me. I was serious, too. The usage of rims for wheels isn't a newer Honda "fanboi" thing. It's been around for years and damn near 3 decades, lolol. Like I said, I remember buying a set of Hammer style rims back in 1986 for my Datsun 210. And that's exactly how we said it, too.

And I also meant it about your car. Love a well done VW. Later, QD.

I mean I wasn't doubting you, my father says it too, especially when he talks about his old bug. Its just the context and connotations of the word that sometimes gets me. As you said, the "Honda 'Fanboi'" thing is what gets me. I don't really have a problem with the fact when an older person pops off the term; most of them don't care about it at this point anyways, so no point getting angry. In the VW world, its taken too seriously to where people get bashed for the term, so naturally, me being around it its rubbed off on me. I don't bash people, but it still ticks a nerve depending on the connotation.

And again, I appreciate the positive comments. I wish I liked it as much as other people do.

I'm a fan of some nice lm's; although not a fan of the price. I picked up the rs' for 800 dollars with tires. Maybe I might can cop a trade when they're refinished.
