    Default Its a Jeep thing...

I'm working on getting another import but until then my Jeep will have to do.

Went on a trail ride with my club on Sat and had a blast. Here are some pics.
    Meeting spot

    Its a Jeep traffic jam.

Stopped for a lunch break. Place is called the Heli pad. What a great view.

    My ride

On the 2nd trail we stopped at a hill climb

Going up the trail. The Jeep in front of me only had 300miles on it and still has the dealer tag.

    Ran into another traffic jam.

Decided to try a pretty bad mud hole and got pretty stuck.

The hole was so deep it started pouring into the floors. LOL

Then on the way out we stopped by some more mud. This huge Jeep was pretty nice but he got stuck and my cheap old Jeep had to winch him out. That huge sucker had a supercharger with a front mount intercooler, Dana 60 axles, and 44" tires on it.

That looks like tons of fun. I want to do that.

What ever.... Jeeps never break down...

But on a good note everyone drove in and drove out. No problems from any of the rigs.

I love 4x4ing I never really understood why people liked it so much. I use to be into the hole slammed out fast import thing but after driving my super slow moving 4x4 and getting threw stuff I thought was imposable I understand why people like it so much.

Best part about owning my Jeep saves me so much money in cleaning supplies. LOL

Looks like fun. I really don't like those four door Jeeps. To me, that isn't a Jeep.

I'm not really a fan of them myself but they do pretty good offroad. The one that was in front of me was a bone stock rubicon. It had factor front and rear electric lockers and went really good. I was surprised.

Looks like fun Mike! Did you attempt the hill climb? I laughed when that big ass JK made it nowhere up that hill and that XJ blew right up it.

Jeep wrangler. You can get them pretty cheap and there is a huge aftermarket for them. There pretty light plus you can take the roof and doors off them and have a great summertime cruiser

We were calling it the super Jeep until it got stuck in a hole that was only 1/2 way up the tires. Part of the problem was the driver but all that money dropped into it and the winch doesn't even work. My cheap Jeep ended up winching it out and then I made it farther than it did and got stuck in a hole that was up to my driverside head light.

Running the Dana 30 up front with a spartan locker and the stock Dana 35 with a open carrier. It will have a locker installed soon I hope.

Most of those pics where at Charlies Creek coming from Rabun toward Hiawassee. Like 10 minutes from me. I had some pics of my old Toyota going through some of the stuff there back before they closed down most of the gnarly stuff up there.

    Nice pics.

I miss my jeep, but I don't miss the gas mileage it got. lol. There's nothing like the rush of doing something crazy offroad. Many fun time with some good folks in the offroad community.

Yea the gas mileage sucks especially with my weak inline 6 an the 33" tires. I'm hoping to get the motor rebuilt. Plus next Sat I'm picking up a 90 Toyota Celica for free. The guy says it wont start and he just parked it but his wife wants it gone so he said I could have it. Hopefully its something I can fix then I'll have a vary nice condition Celica for next to nothing. I'll probably end up selling the Celica to help pay for my jeep motor and trans rebuild.

Regearing will help out a little bit too. I also had the 4.0 with 33's, but I had 4.56 gears to help out offroad.

I want to regear it but the cost is to much right now for me. Its on the list as a future project.
