    Default My s10

Well i figured i post up my daily eater... i mean beater... it was a mostly stock s10 that i had done a few mods to it, but nothing hard core cause i wasn't looking to race it yet and i still haven't decided what kind of engine swap i will do in the future, but anyways...

truck ran good and had SOME.. i said some getty up for a 4 bangger... even though the engine knocked when you first start it and then it ticked after it was warmed up until...

It decided to sound like a paper shredder on steroids.... and surprisingly it still wanted to go... since i didn't find any decent swaps or v8 tranny's i picked up another block and started working...
Cleaned block bored .040 over, new freeze plugs and cam bearings, reground crank with new mains/rod bearings.
    new pistons with new rings....

Short block done with cam installed waiting on a warm day to finish it...

as for the rear end i only have a few shots of my suspension but i swapped out the 3.73 peg leg for a 3.42 g80 locker, which im going to swap gear ratios between the two.

i know its kinda crude for now but it works great... it used to hop like a bunny but now slides like a skate... looking for a rear sway bar that'll fit...

opps. forgot to post a pic of the truck its self...

well mine wasnt that slow, with no PS or manual fan it did pretty well... before it started knocking i could keep up/beat a few hondas around town... for only weighing 2700lbs with me it scooted down the road just fine... day that the engine blew i got a ticket for doing 92 in a 65 and i was just cruzing along with a 03 cobalt ss... (speedo tops out at 85 lol)

on a rear sway bar, go to pull a part and look at ford explorers I think they have axle mounted sway bars that would probably work.

    Just a thought

well i tried to fit a sway bar off a 89 ford ranger, it was a bolt on mount but i couldn't figure a way to mount the part to the frame cause everything was in the way...
