    Default My new ford..

    Picked up me a 98 SVT Contour.. Absolutely love it.. Its comfortable as hell inside, roomy. Moves like it should, and has a great exhaust growl... has a 2.5L V6 Duratec motor, similar to what comes in the v6 COugar/Contour/Mystique But with ported heads - Intake manifold - higher compression and valvetrain upgrade..and all that good stuff.

    its missing a passenger side skirt, but the dealer is gettin me another one hopefully it wont be long..

    pics arent too good...but i had to be quick i was in the middle of the street..

    those are nice cars....I had one for like 2 weeks while my buddy was out of town...it's fun to drive, the exhaust note was a little too high pitched for my taste, but whatever floats your boat....I know mod wise...there isnt too much, besides your I/H/E and I think Vortech finally put out a S/C for it....but I guess you could spray it too.....how many miles are on it? and I bet that side skirt cost you a pretty penny.

    Has 82k on it. I just want some wheels, and small crap, all that extra stuff is behind me now..but who knows. thigns always change.

    that's some pretty low miles....most I've seen nowadays are in the 110k's....for the love of god, do not get those ghey ass cobra R wannabe's they had as a option on the later models...

    I've actually always liked the wheels you have on it now for the SVT....two of my buddies had SVT Contours, and one had the Cobra R's and the other guy had the ones you have....we all agreed....the ones you have look a hell of alot better.

    I think that cosworth has some performance mods for that platform that are the shit. They are really more affordable than you'ld think also. I have always liked those little cars. I have just seen some bad experiences w/ the standard 24v V6 in the Contour/mystique. timing chain/bent valves=no good. Good luck with it, should be fun.

    Contours are my favorite SVT. I have a think for the quick 4 doors. Reminds me of the older SHO taurus'. Turbo that shit today.

    Congrats dude! I'm actually jealous. I've wanted one of those cars since I first saw one in motortrend. I hope you greatly enjoy it. There's a turbo kit floating around for it. I almost bought a turbo'd SVT about a year ago. Ran mid 12's. I'll see if I can find the web page on it. Congrats again on a great purchase.

    I almost bought one of those but i decided on the accord. Great cars though. Rims to think about are Racing Hart C2's, they look really good on that car.

    Congratulations are in order! Nice ride there. I got to drive one about two weeks ago at work. I was impressed by the exhaust note- very nice. Also, the leather and everything else is pretty well put together. enjoy!

    adc makes a turbo kit. vortech s/c sucks ass for this car... only way to go for this car is motor swap from the 2.5 to the 3.0. then either naws or turbo or both! *heads arent ported* there are many differences between the stock 2.5 and the svt 2.5, the upper and lower intake manifolds were enlarged and extrude honed. tad bit higher compression and some other odds and ends. the whole car is a great car to mod.these cars will never see 500+hp but even with 250-320hp their fun and fast.
