some people just need to stop arguing and let him do what he wants to his gsr. or if you wanted to make some money, clean it up, turn around and sell it to someone else. you could easily get 2x as much as what you paid. I would personally replace the bumpers so the paint is all nice, and just ride it till something happens (like the deer you mentioned lol). then from there, fix it and mod it till your hearts content.

i am thinking about getting the bumpers painted... but then again i may just have the whole car painted

and you're right lol, the KBB on it is around 7k. i was thinking of selling and getting an s2k, buttt then again maybe nottt haha
