    Default More Jeep fun.

Finally after owning my 8000lbs winch for 3 months I got around to mounting it on my 95 Grand Cherokee. So today I had to test it out and it works great. Doesn't look so good but is strong as hell. Not bad for a $250 winch and some free metal.
    The begging

    Just needs my light mounted.

I do plan of building off of this and making a full bumper to make it look a little bit better.

Took it to Dodd Rd and had some issues finding any mud due to the lack of rain. The last time I was on this road it was a mud fest.

Then my camera refused to take any more pics.

Then when we stopped to clean the windshield my camera started working again.

EDIT: I added some light to it today. Well 7 lights actually. Should be good at night now.

Doesn't matter how it looks, as long as it gets you out!
These pictures make me jealous, it's been a while since I've gone off-road.
    Where'd you go?

We went to a place called Dodd Rd in Stephens county. Its an abandoned county road. I wish I could have gotten more pics it was so rutted out it was insane.

Nice. Old county and service/powerline roads are the best.

Well thats understandable I felt the same way. I was into Hondas for a while. I built a 200HP SOHC boosted CRX and it was a blast. I then traded it for a 99 GSX-R 750 and got sick of the speed. When it comes to the offroad part its just as much maybe even more fun and relaxing to just drive slow and careful. There both tons of fun but I find this to be much safer than speeding down the highway.

yeah. i dont build for speed. hell, i dont build much at all. ive had a couple quick cars and driven them both more responsibly than any given person's grandmother. for me, its all about how the wheel feels in your hands, how the revs rise and fall, and how it feels to just roll down the road without a care in the world. i just wouldnt get the same sensation from off roading, i dont think. but reps to you guys for finding what makes you happy and doin it

I've gotten lucky only thing I've broke was a weld on the lower control arm mount on the front axle. After some research its a common issue with the Jeeps. Rewelded and braced so thats not going to be a problem again. If your careful and don't push it to hard they can last.
