Wink Mirror Detailing - BMW 528 - Non-detailing believer converted...

Got a call mid afternoon about trying if at all possible getting this done today as the owner was heading back up to Virginia tomorrow. Thing was in pretty terrible condition, had never been buffed, severe acid rain and just dirty...but kinda to be expected after driving from Virgina Beach to Georgia.

Just did a wash, clay, 1-step and waxed.

    Befores:

How bad was the condition of the paint you might ask? Looked like this across the whole car...

Half and half on the trunk just to see the amount of fade that was in the paint...

    Now for the afters:

    You missed the headlights...
Hell, I dropped my car off at the body shop and they had a big posteter advertising "headlight renewal" for only $74.99/pr....I'm sure you could offer that 'service' for half that price...

    Poor car...great job on that!

I even said something to him about the headlights but he figured he would wait until next time. But yeah $75 is a complete rip off. I charge anywhere from $40-60/set.

Looks good mike. What was your 1 step? I always considered bmw paint hard, but if you can get results like that with a 1 step, damn.

Thats not a bad price. I had a friend come to me one day telling me a body shop wanted to charge him $180 to renew his lights, and that it didnt include any type of follow up service. Talk about jaw dropping

BTW: just saw your thread, that KBM method is fun with m105, but its a bitch if you dont wipe up the stuff right after. Lets just put it this way, there were a few panels i had to use diluted thinner to get it off cause alcohol and even going over it again didnt help.

But then again i was using a Surbuf pad. Do you notice much clogging with the lc pad?

Shit, i guess im just beat, i thought you were using m105, but you were using menzerna.
