HAHAHA!! Time to move onto something that's...uh....hellafast?! LOL

ANYWAY...I won't be getting a 10th Anniversary. Just a normal 2000 model. I should have it by either Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm sooooo excited!!!

Convertible to 4 door is not an upgrade. Did you have kids or something?

lol... no. and i fail to understand how the number of doors alone constitutes whether or not someone has upgraded, but - once again - to each his own.

lol... i owned 2 sols, actually... we just... um... don't talk about the first one. And the Z was kinda manly I guess, just slow as shit. I was originally looking for a white one, but this car was so perfect I just couldn't pass it up.

sounds like somebody's been stealing Robert's keys when he's not looking. I say do it! Feel free to drive mine sometime. We have a white 06 here at the stealership with 74k or something like that - sticker is 22, but I could probably hook it up for 20/21 depending on what we have in it.

Oh I don't doubt for a second that its fast lol (well... going straight, anyways). I know better than that. Still, like you said - I'll stick with the Subie lol. I'll be Cobb stage 2 later this week: ~350hp/385tq at the crank. How much faster would you say the SRT-4 is, exactly? lol

Good Choice my friend! I wouldn't miss the S2K at all...except for the fact that it's a convertible, but I'm sure the power will bypass all of that LOL. Love it!

Cobb stage 2 in a few hours after I meet up with Identity_Crisis (lol). After that... decent coilovers to replace the Eibach struts/springs, a few little things here and there (STi limited lip, audio, some chassis braces, maybe re-do the slightly purpling tint, etc).... then in a little while, when I prove to myself that I can handle the 350hp/385tq crank stage 2 power without immediately going to jail (lol - one of the reasons I didn't buy a C5 Z06), and money really starts burning a hole in my pocket, I'll look into going batshit crazy like everyone is egging me on to do - big turbo, meth, all the fun stuff. The car is my DD though, so it will remain relatively mild.

Man this is going to be one sweet looking blobeye STI. Do give E85 a tought before you big trubo and meth. 380whp+ & 400wtq+ on quick spooling VF39 with just injectors, FPR, and fuel lines...can't beat it. I wish i would have gone that way before going rotated. Big turbo is nice, rarely you use full potential of it.

PS. I got a meth kit you can have for cheap coz i don't plan on using it.

I paid it some serious thought. HOWEVER... I spend all of my free time in the mountains, where the STi is perfect. AWD makes it sublimely easy to tear through mountain passes, whereas the tail-happy Z06 is both WAY less forgiving, AND shows its size a lot more when things get really tight. Plus:

Space, space, space - a backseat and a huge trunk are a really nice convenience
The STi interior is 100x better in my humble opinion
I get all Subaru parts at COST, and am good friends with several master Subaru techs - if something breaks, I'm in a good position, and I have an awesome knowledge base to tap into.
STi's can reach LS6 power relatively easily with a little bit of cash
I got a stupid deal on this car - I could have bought a decent Z06, but we're talking 80k+ miles - not a huge deal on an LS6, but lower is still nice.

The LS6 is a nasty bitch, and the power is addicting (no replacement for displacement!), but all of those other factors led me to the STi.

Trust me, I'll look into ALLLL of my options before I pull the trigger on anything. I am obsessive when it comes to research, and I will go with the setup that is best for me. And quit throwing big numbers out there, you're making me power-hungry lol. We'll see - its gonna Stage 2 for a while, so nobody get too excited yet haha.

I can honestly say that the cars aren't fun until they are at 400+ WHEEL hp.

That's why I'm going to an LS7 soon.
