What'd you do with your 1.8 turbo stuff?
sold it all as soon as the engine blew
i have a 350z as a daily now, so this is th track car....
Once its painted, itll be really pretty, soooon

Well, the build has gone pretty bad up until here.

Problems?
Massive amounts of bolts i had to keep going to get, spending wayy too much time
People that say they will have a part, or have something done on a certain day, or fabricate something, and not. I had 4 major things that took 2-3 days more on each part, setting me back almost a week on fabrication.
I had to raise the engine and tranny, engine 3/5 inches, tranny 2.5 inches to keep ground clearance where i needed it. i will not sacrifice my ride height...period
powdercoating took 3 days longer than anticipated, engine mounts took 3 days longer, parts ordering, and wrong parts took a few days, still dont have parts for a driveshaft, still waiting on delrin diff bushings, and crap

but for now, it looks like this:

you can see i spaced down the sway bar bracket, SUPER temporary, will be redoing it with more bracing, and different spacers. just wanted to get it together

IMG_0659 by Flsimages, on Flickr
raised the whole steering rack an inch also to help with tie rod angle

IMG_0660 by Flsimages, on Flickr
custom engine mounts. used Martin's v8 plates, with 3 inches welded on top to clear the subframe
the oil pan was LITERALLY 3 inches below the subframe....wtf?

IMG_0661 by Flsimages, on Flickr
interior as it sits right now

IMG_0662 by Flsimages, on Flickr
my horrible welding. had to cut the whole tranny tunnel out and raise it to clear things

IMG_0663 by Flsimages, on Flickr
passenger side clearances. with an elbow welded on the collector, should tuck perfectly down there

IMG_0664 by Flsimages, on Flickr
lowest point now is the subframe in the front

IMG_0665 by Flsimages, on Flickr
modified frame rails, and spacers on the top of the tranny mount. will need to cut where the member meets teh frame parts and raise it up as high as i can when it gets to florida

IMG_0666 by Flsimages, on Flickr
harmonic balancer clearance

IMG_0668 by Flsimages, on Flickr
already welded up the overcut my dad did lol
had to cut the covering for the vert bolt holes since with the roll cage, i cant pull the top off. so now i can throw a wrench on there and pull it for the bikini top usage

IMG_0669 by Flsimages, on Flickr
cant this damn thing off
