It works, it doesnt work the best or have the fastest numbers. Fuji racing is also racing on rotas. Granted im not a fan of rotas they are good wheels but i personally would have went with a lighter option if I were gonna be at the track. Fuji's car also isnt the fastest track prepped miata. The guys running in unlimited classes like flyin miata, 949racing, slickauto, etc all run 9s bc they are proven faster. I really dont understand your theory the 15x9 by 949 is sub 13lbs which is most 15x7 so how is it that you are going to be slower. About the same weight with a bit more grip. 949 has tested the 9 on the track and at an autox and its faster. 7s are old news miata guys that want real grip are running 8s and 9s now. My was on lighter 7s when after i sold m 8s and started parting the car and the level of grip was greatly reduced. Granted acceleration picked up but my 7s are .2lbs lighter than a 9. But the car was still more stable and a lot faster in the turns with the 8s.
