    Default V6 in a s2000 cr?

    ****Warning possibly a repost****

I know people have been putting 2jz's and ls1's, 2's and 3's, etc... in their s2k's for a while now, but I came across this on the web just now.

    http://blogs.insideline.com/straight...ls-37l-v6.html
Even though the s2000 is discontinued this seems like a pretty cool concept. The v6 from the TL is pretty stout from the factory (and I'm basing this claim off of an experience with an 2003 model TL none type s, the new one I'm sure is ridiculous). It would be very interesting to see if the overall handling and driving experience would be adversely affected by the new powerplant. Another cool point is that Honda Performance Development did the swap. It would be awesome if they were open to provide the swap for "special customers". Hmmmm????
I don't think the version in the blog had SH-AWD, but the idea of an AWD s2k with a v6 sounds pretty tasty.

    Thoughts/Comments?????

My thoughts: Post pictures since this is the CAR PICS section of the forum. Also I'd rather have the 4 banger for modification purposes.

Needs more LSx. I don't think people have been putting them in the S2k "for a while now". From what I've heard, I would guess that there are less than 10 LSx swapped S2K's on the road.
Good alternative to the LSx Miata as I would think that the longer wheel base might help a little.
However, I guess this is the next best thing, being that it is "keeping it Honda" and there is no Honda v8 on the horizon.

You might be right about "the less than 10 ls1 swaps on the road" thing. That doesn't really have anything to do with when they started swapping those engines in.
The oldest lsx s2k is about 3yrs and the oldest 2jz s2k is about 4yrs old. I would also be willing to guess that the oldest H2B civic is under 5-6 yrs old. All of which I believe has been around for a while. Neway, 3-6 yrs qualifies as "a while" depending on your perception of the phrase. I think 3-6 yrs is quite a bit of time especially when you consider how the scene itself has change in that time span. BUt to be honest, by "a while" I meant they have been around long enough for almost every honda enthusiast to be aware of this type of swap. Now if we were talking about the ivtec conversion for the s2k, which has practically just popped up on the scene even though R/D on it has been underway for going on 2yrs now would probably not qualify as being around "for a while".
lol I know I just responded to something that didn't really matter, but what better way to pass the time huh!?
    Jesus I'm bored.

BUt yeah keepin it honda is what tickled my fancy. *no homo*
