89' rx7, what should i do

So I just picked this up for $300, body is in decent shape, doesn't run, the dude said it need an alternator and thermostat housing. I just did a motor swap on my other 7 and am saving money to rebuild and bridgeport my old motor. I would like some honest opinions as to what I should do with this. I thought about stripping it out completely and setting it up to either race or drift!

I take it that you like the look of a stock rx7, I do agree that my first one is kinda ugly, its cause of the wheels

Clean it up and add a good wax. I would keep the car clean with a few RE Amemiya or OEM Savanna parts. Save up for some nice wheels. Rx-7's deserve better than knock-offs.
