thanks guys! big props to tony for the advice and quick lesson. Before today I pretty much was just a auto fuction guy. now I have found out how to use my camera. But I have plenty of room for improvement.

im just using a D40. nothing big. all of these photos are straight off the camera. I have photoshop but ive never used it. Im sure I can improve these with it. Like I said, no flash or tripod. thats why some are blurry. I left with 800 pics and ended up with 160.
