My FB looks better than Sabine, a.k.a Collin's old car with an automatic 3.4 differential that the n/a rotary can't spin up for shit a.k.a the car YOU bought from Austin who got it from Collin, have fun hitting 60 in 8 seconds even on a fresh rebuild. (collin did the manual swap and left that awful differential in there

my FB is a hell of a lot faster than Sabine, YOUR car (which I know more about than you do)

and the "gay 12A" is what saved the rotary engine. First gens outsold the 2nd gens by FAR.

As someone who has owned a turbocharged 2nd gen before, and someone who owns a first gen currently, I happily say the first gen is more of a sports car, and is better if your building a track car. Not a better overall car, but definitely a more RAW, sports car true to its roots, and perfectly suited to the rotary engine inside of it.

I honestly don't know where your first gen hate spawned out of, or why you think your hunk of shit 2nd gen would be any better, but both the first gen 7, and Miata, are better cars than a series 4 N/A FC




Oh and to actually reply to the main topic of this thread. That is definitely NOT the least gay Miata you can buy, and is in fact gayer than a normal Miata. anyone actually READ the Autoblog post?

In fact, it's always been just about perfect in our eyes, as evidenced by our most recent road test of the sporty little Japanese runabout. But if bright schoolbus yellow just isn't your bag, baby, may we suggest something a little more subtle?

Mazda has just rolled out the MX-5 Matte and Black Special Edition at the 21st annual Salon du Cabriolet, Coupé & SUV in Paris. Ostensibly to celebrate the Miata's 20th birthday in France, we kinda think Mazda just wanted to prove that its sportscar looks pretty darn good in the automotive equivalent of the little black dress. And boy, does it ever.

There's nothing special underhood, so the 2.0-liter four still puts out an adequate 167 horsepower. We can't say that we see them in the photos ourselves (fortunately), but design label LK by Laure Kczekotowska Paris has reportedly decked the MX-5 out in rhinestones, gems, and crystals. Ah well, nothing can be perfect. See for yourself in the image gallery below.
