If Mugen put a body kit on Richard Simmonds he would still be gay.
Just sayin'.
Nope. Hybrid with Mugen badges and grossly inflated price.
UGA: Everybody is laughing at us this year.
A turd by any other name is still a turd.
Probably faster than most of the Hondas on here... just sayin...
Mine really dosn't leave the garage. People across the street think it is a tool bench.
Why would a performance company modify a hybrid? That seems like an oxymoron, to me.![]()

people bitching it's a turd, but it's still a lot better looking than many cars on IA. I personally don't think its look is that bad.
Just because it's a hybrid doesn't mean it's a bad car. Hell, the new CR-Z is going to by Hybrid + a lil "umph" that's going to look pretty cool as well.
Different strokes for different folks. I'd rock one as a DD. Price tag on another hand is ridiculous.
Aside from the obvious (Mugen RR, Mugen Legend), most of what I see from them nowadays is body kits (albeit great looking ones) and other dress up parts.
Now I'm aware of their involvement with motorsports and all that, yes I get that.
My point is that a tarted up Insight falls perfectly in line with much of their recent offerings (USDM Mugen Si, USDM Mugen Fit, Bodykits for JDM people-movers).
My reference to it being a turd has nothing to do with it's looks. It underperforms against the Prius in almost all areas except for price and maybe "spirited driving", which is nothing but a generic compliment that some magazine writer had to dredge up to not offend advertisers.
And my Fit is faster and got nearly equal MPG as the forthcoming CRZ.
Trust me, you won't find a bigger Honda nutswinger than me, but their recent Hybrids have been disappointing at best.
