but from what you mentioned, hood is ugly, mirrors are fugly, body kit is decent at best. Wheels and stance are good, fmic's are a dime a dozen now so it's nothing that I pay any attention unless I see what else is done to the engine.

I ran a 12.60 @107.84 in my sti and I had $16k into the car, but only about $5k under the hood, including installation of exhaust, methanol kit, intake, and tune. Still on the stock turbo and top mount too.

The Honda guys still do it. I'm sure it has a hell of a punch under the hood as well. I don't like the mirrors or the body kit, but the '04 hood scoop is annoying as fuck. It has to be better to drive with the reverse scoop.

Yea, but the difference is Sti's look way better than all Hondas do. The requirements to make it look perfect aren't as steep as your everday grocery getter Honda because it has way more style to begin with. S2000's and the newer Civic Si's are the only exception.

I venture to say the car in question has all kinds of bushings, aftermarket clutch, bigger turbo, guages, short throw, maybe even a built motor. The lip (kit), wheels, mirrors, hood, and other fancy non-go fast parts cost probably $10k alone, not to mention $2k+ for coilovers, more than likely.

My STi is stock but out of all the cars Ive owned they have all been heavily modified, the only reason the STi is still stock is because everything for it is expensive as fuck, its going in the shop this coming weekend though for the first time ever...
