Not sure what the stock wheels are, but 225s seem skinnier than stock, which would make a smaller contact patch. Heavier wheels + smaller contact patch on tires would equal a longer stopping distance.

Also, one functionality of a tire is to protect the wheels. I don't know about you, but even if I had an expendable amount of money, I would hate to bang up an HRE. Also, I think it's going to look stupid. Again, that's just my opinion, so that part of my argument is subjective.
