i had a Tama Swingstar set before they were discontinued. Then sold em for tire money and later used a gretch Catalina Birch set with a Pork Pie snare for "touring". I don't have one right now, I wish I had the money for a full Truth or Porkpie set.

My dw was great for tour. i play a pretty small kit so it was easy to set up. i can tare it down and set it up in 20 min lol.

my next kit is definatly gonna be an SJC. i love my Orange county snare, shit i payed 650 for it but after playing a hybrid SJC kit( birch and acrylic) i want an sjc lol.

yea sjc are awsome i realy got into building custom snares but then i got my license and then there were cars lol but i bed that hybrid set sounded amazing considering it was birch and not maple

yeah it sounded killer. the acrylic in the middle gave some hard attack but didnt resonate at all cuz the birch soaked it all up. i want one lol, but like you i have a money pit/ car lol
