I'm not a fan of freestyle motocross. I feel anything that has judging will get results that don't always reflect the right outcome. A clock won't lie.

No NOT EVERYONE gets paid to compete in rally. Most of those guys are paying for it themselves. Ken Block funded his way to where he is from his clothing company (DC Shoes).

Amateur teams, (which beside the Rockstar and Subaru crews) most of rally America is, sees self funding to compete. Also, many times if an amateur gets prize money from an event, it isn't enough to cover that weekends expenses.

The ratio of drivers that get paid to drive vs those that don't is like 10%.
If im right, gymkhana is somewhat new(i might be wrong), so the number of people competing isn't close to other sports yet.

I see where you are coming from about judging, but with some sports, thats the only way they can determine a winner. Simply getting to the finish fast wouldn't result in many tricks/stunts which is what both sports are about.

Some people are more fortunate than others...thats just how things are. DC is Ken's company and if you were him or anyone else was, you would be doing the same thing to promote yourself. Getting paid is more of an incentive for people to do something or work harder and also rewards them with better parts/cars. You cant change that. It is a part of every type of sport all over the world.
