Operation-greatest son ever!!
ill be using this as a build thread for this project i have for my mom for xmas. Its my first stab at a ej so im a complete noob to these cars if you can throw any advice help my way ill gladly take it. She is going to be so shocked i really cant wait to give it to her. Its getting hard cause she keeps trying to get me to go look at used cars(she has wanted a used car for like 4 months now) i just keep making excuses or telling her she doesnt need one
well i got this car for my mom for xmas this year its going to be a tough journey getting it ready for her. she currently drives a vw super beetle and it has heat but it doesnt get hot.
dont get me wrong she loves the car. i just hate that she didnt have anything with ac.
so i found this starting point for her
its a 95 ex but it needs help as you can see. im making this build thread to keep myself busy and show all the work im throwing into it.
picked it up last saturday car runs fine just was throwing oil all over the bay
as you can see it came without a intake and no heat!! man was i freezing driving it home
luckily i still had my jdm sir intake so i threw that on to help with the breathing of the car
next up was to find out where all the oil was coming from!!!
found the problem! its missing the vc grommets luckily bus driver J had some extras
Next up is the hood i noticed that it didnt close all the way as you can see here in the pic
picked up a new set from pull a part to replace them
while i was at pull a part found some mint taillights as you can see these are a bit rice and they leak!!

next up was to clean this damn thing out it was filthy!!!
got that cleaned up and noticed the doors had a leak in them from the windows as well as some ghetto wiring
they def have to go.
this one has the keyhole missing!
as im washing the car i see it has a full catback on it def cant give that to mom so back to the pull a part
for some oem goodness...
oem content...i think im going to flat black it to clean it up some before putting it on the car
moving around to the front of the car i notice only the highbeams work in these ricer headlights
they must be swapped out asap!! just like the rear the housings are melted near the bulbs
head to the rear and i find this?!?!?
2nd battery in the trunk with it grounded to the trunk lid??
as well as the clips for the rear speakers are missing good thing i grabbed a bunch of harness cables
from pull a part to fix all of this madness this project is coming together nicely
man that was a long weekend next up is to find some oem corner lights and some new doors and carpet
i just dont want to deal with this crappy carpet all of the clips are broken and its just a hastle
im also thinking of scrapping the seats for some dc integra front and rears. i really hope i can get this thing
ready for paint before xmas

The heat does'nt work because the hose that is suppose to let coolant into the heater core is looped right back to the thermostat housing. I bet the heater core in the car is bad.
That's pretty cool that you are fixing up a car for your mom! Hell my mom says, "If and when you become successful, I want a 350z...". Lol! One day I tell her! But good luck and props to ya!

no josh i didnt spend much but i wanted something that i could put together for her kinda makes it more special for me and her rather than me just buying something perfect.
as for the heat not working yeah i knew that it wasnt hooked up but it wasnt something i could fix before i left the guys house when i bought the car. the motor runs and im happy with it ill swap it out once it dies for a jdm d15b

i have no clue why somebody would screw with the wiring!! the headlights are even worse i have all new headlight clips from pull a part lets just hope once i get some oem headlights they go ahead and work properly. all of the fuses were pulled so there is no telling if the windows work

I've got some gray Integra seats for the front that were in pretty good shape when I put them in storage, but the dogs got into the shed so I'll have to see if those were the set they tore up. If they're good, I'll get you a good price on them or I'll see what SilverSol's got when I see him next.
