im just saying, the coupe looks about 100 times better since it got down here in columbus.
and mine now looks like a mexican raided it to make a home.
update from my long week in columbus in a bit pics are uploading dinner at moms at 12 so im going to try and show up around 1 so she doesnt see me and tony pull up in the cars
ugh here we go the plan was to go to columbus sunday grab the doors,carpet and head back to atlanta..... as with everything that never works out like you want. met up with 99jdmls and finally got rid of the rice 1 pc headlights and installed some oem goodness
next up was to do what i wouldnt suggest to anyone lol this was my first attempt at taking a car apart to this extent....
99jdmls had to work so he was cool enough to let me start stripping his shell down while he was at work so with the help of six7teen and the great ash7 we got started
this was taking forever taking stuff out of one car and swapping it over to the next but i was getting it done plus i was coming down with a slight cold at this point.

something told me to grab the old harness out of the donor car good thing i did it came in handy later down the road

well well well look who showed up to help after me and ash7 did the bulk of the work lol

super long day and at this point we replaced the doors,headlights corners and trunk also ash7 hooked up the heat and fixed my headlight issue!!
at this point i was on my own and my slight cold has turned into a full on cold im feeling really weak at this point good thing my aunt alice let me use her garage to work on the car.
woke up early and kissed my aunt as she left for work raked the leaves up and took the trash out and got to work on the axleback i bought
went and got some painters tape and taped off the tip and some bbq stove paint to paint the axelback it came out great i love it !!!
did 3 light coats and this thing really came out well i was very impressed
now i bring you to my hell haha nah really i had fun working on this car i really took pride in doing it took the seats out and got ready to clean this fithly thing out..
this took all of the day plus i was really feeling like crap at this point luckily my aunt alice had lots of oranges so i was eating them like candy..
spent the next day sleeping all day this was probably the worst day of my cold....

felt alittle better!! had to move some boxes in the house for my aunt and did somemore yard work for her and got started on the car
i let the axelback dry overnight and gave it another coat and this was the final result
i was shocked how great it came out!!
onto the new carpet i got from the donor car.
went out and bought some carpet cleaner and gave it a good scrub for about a hour and half..good thing i had my ipod with me
at this point i took a sec to look at the new doors we installed as well as how the car sits at that point.
as i got started breaking the rest of my car down i let the new carpet dry
as well as the center console and shift boot they were covered in grime and sticky old jelly ugh!!! washed them up and let them dry
ok got started on the car...

me cleaning the bare floor there was so much crap under the old carpet
good thing i took the cig lighter harness from the donor car so i just spliced it into the hacked harness that is in this car
basically the whole harness that goes to the fuel filter in the rear of the car was cut and broken so this is where the donor cars harness came in handy!! i replaced all of th wires i saw that were broken or frayed... and made new zip tie locations for them
as you can imagine this took the whole day i hate wiring plus the wiring harness for the new power windows was giving me a headache so my aunt alice came in the garage and told me to call it quits for the day...
Thursday morning eeekkk!!!!!
with my sickness and me feeling weak i was scrambling for time!!! got to work early i have to have this done by today!!!
took me a while to figure out how things went back into the car because honda makes thing snap onto one another to keep it flush so i started with the newly cleaned carpet
didnt have alot of time to take more progress shots as i was dark and i was rushing!!!!!!
whew!!! done at this point its @ 8pm its dark and raining so before i threw away the old carpet i took a long look at all of the hard work i had done for the week and all of trash and old harness that was in the car
and one last one of me i am pooped at this point and hungry lol
UPDATE!! mom just called me asking when i was coming over lol i had to pretend to be sleepy told her id be there at 12 still have to pick up tony and head over i want to be the last one at the house so she doesnt see me pull up man im so excited!!!!

well as i handed over the keys to the black civic to my mom and the del sol to my sister my mom is crying a bit and says i want them both lol we get in the house and my sister tells us all that she is 6 weeks PREGNANT!!!! im so excited for her and her husband so she tells me lets just give mom the del sol since she will have no use for it with a baby seat and all so mom got the del sol and im keeping the black civic for a bit since it still needs LOTS of work. while in columbus i found out it had a rear disc conversion done to it and the brake pads are kinda low,axels are clicking and i still need oem springs. The del sol is perfect and she loves it so everything worked out fine. I just got home from being over there she really didnt want me to leave. I also showed her this thread as well as all of the comments and reps i have gotten and she cried again and wanted to thank everyone for what they said and did to help me out. she was really suprised at all of this. My mom doesnt get on the internet much hell she just found youtube like a month ago and loves it lol.
seriously tho thank you so much guys really you really made this thing come to life for me and my family this year we all really appreciate it
