Heat them. That's what I did.

Also, car would look good if you put the factory side lights back on there and got rid of those clears. Looks horrible, like you have clear Civic lights on there. Later, QD.

Id def look into getting them heated, if a good spring option is far fetched. The corners dont look too bad in person.. they look real blingy in the pictures tho. I think getting rid of that gap.. would do wonders for the car.

eeh considering i payed $100 less fot these than a set of stockers from ford im happy lol they arent as bad in person and the only reson they got changed was due to a semi kicking up a nice sized rock and shattering the drivers side corner lamp and headlight

heated was one of the options id just rather do it the right way and order a custom set of springs no point in getting the heated and running the risk off fucking them up ya know what i mean...

they arent to expensive they want 275 for the rears since they have a pig tail at the top and bottom of the spring which wont allow them to be cut and 200 for the fronts or i can just cut mine since ther is only one pig tail

and if i was to cut the rears and go to civilian springs it would bring the back end down 1/4 to 1/2 an inch and cut a coil of the front it would give me this

No I don't know what you mean, lolol. Considering I've run heated springs on all my cars since the mid 80s, it isn't as bad as you think. Lolol. Later, QD.

I've seen lots of cars that didn't drop evenly because heating is hard to control all the factors of. So I am guessing there is a right and a wrong way to do it to make sure that you won't end up with one corner lower than the rest?

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

eiabach doesnt make springs for crown vics they only make fronts for the civilian cars and Marauders since they have air ride in the rear they can set it to level the car out to mach the newley lowered front and i dont have rear air suspension

Cutting springs on crown vics seems like its very common, in the earlier years. But i see alot of them were talking about a ride height control in the rear? I highly doubt eibachs will get you as low as it looks like you want to be. And it seems like cutting is the thing to do when it comes to lowering these cars.

    i like this one!

yea its much easier to lower pre 02 cars as the suspension got a major revamp in 03 just like the new edge to the new S197 mustangs they went from low offset wheels and out board springs to high offset and inboard shocks and i know that guy is car is rather low, im only looking for about 1 1/4 in the front and 1 in the rear

    exactly like this

    Exactly.

OP, I'm sure the car is going to look good once it is down there, however you do it. And the "horror stories" you've heard are just that. Stories, lolol. Twenty years of heating under my belt and not one problem. But if you can do it the right way, by all means do so.
