Nice conversions here. FWD simply isnt that great. I pushed my old FWD to its limit and it can be lots of fun but when I want power I dont want FWD. RWD or AWD is so much better to corner with. You can charge into harder and leave it faster in most set ups. It's the hills that kill.
You see Prime example here. Here we see him state that FWD aren't that great. But if you were to check some of the past oh 2 years autocross times you'd notice that mini coopers generally had better times than most of the awd/rwd cars. Lots of turning and cornering in autocrossing...
Yet again it all depends on what your using the car for.

It's all the driver. I can drive a FWD just as fast as a RWD you just treat it differently. I don't think most RWD owners who haven't owned FWD understand that, or understand car setup. People who say FWD is stupid and sucks sound like complete morons. Go to an SCCA race, watch racing, see what's what. There are tons of FWD touring cars and RWD touring cars and they battle out not caring which is what drivetrain.
You can even make a FWD car oversteer worst then a RWD car.
It's the driver.
