First, he had it for sale for the price everyone "claims" it was worth, and it wasn't selling. So what is he suppose to do when he can't get what he's asking for? Keep it when he doesn't want it? Plus, this is IA, home of "I know you car is for sale for $3500, but will you take $1200 for it" PMs. So more than likely he was going to have to sit on a car, unless he gave it away.
Second, he said it gave him many problems. Now days dependable transportation is important. Once you get fed up of wrenching all the time, you just wants something reliable. I can feel where he is coming from with this.
Third, he got what he wanted, and that's enough to me to say that it was a good deal. That's the problem with the car scene now. Rather than being concerned about themselves everyone is a critic. Don't worry about that man's bank, worry about your own. LOL
