It's not called the Mazda Cosmo it's the Eunos Cosmo. Made by Mazda yes, but sold as a one hit wonder from a Mazda luxury subdivision Eunos. They were sold from 1991 until 1996 for the equivalent of $150,000 USD for the 20B-REW model. It was a Luxury 2 + 2 with state of the art technology. First car sold to the general public with GPS navigation, it had a dash that looked to have no buttons when all the panels were closed. The headliner was 2 inches thick because there was a cabin air purifier built into the roof (Ionic breeze type technology). The car was only sold with an automatic. The top of the line engine was the 20B-REW a twin turbocharged 3 rotor rotary engine. This wasn't from Wikipedia, this is what I know. And you are FAR from being the only person who likes them, they're just not well known about, especially outside of the rotary community.

Pics I took from from Zoom Fest 2008. The attention to detail was immaculate.

That steering wheel looks straight out of the 90s.

Edit: Just went back to look at that steering wheel picture again, it makes me want to fucking punch somebody or press my teeth so hard against each other they crack. Cool car though.

oops, it was a simple question i thought. If this is a thread about a car that someone posted, i expect the basic info to be in the first post, threfore i won't read through 30+ useless comments to get to the info i don't desperately need.
