    Default Clean truck! - Updated

    Again litterally!

Spent a good while on this one, sunday. Removed all pinstripe and chevrolet pin stripe off the tail gate. This thing came out beautifully. Just some general shots with my camera phone. Also its amazing how using 1000 watts of light can help with a detail! To think, I use to think my 500w light was good!

Whole truck looked like this before!

    After:

Very nice half and half shot:

Then just some nice reflection shots:

Nice reflection with the flake in the paint!

    Hood!

Then my favorite shot. No flash, just using 1000 watts of light over to the side for light! :boobies:

Also this is with no wax on the paint. So once I go back and put about two coats on it! :boobies:

    UPDATE!

Went back and finished the truck this morning, after getting rained on friday.

Wow. Do you know of any guides to doing a detail job like that? I'd like to learn.

Plenty of guides. But it takes years of doing it. THat and about $500 in supplies/equipment minimum.

Lets hypothetically say someone wanted this done, what would you hypothetically charge them? For hypothetical situation's sake, lets say it was a bright red camaro. I'm assuming you wet sand and buff, finishing with a wax?

I take it you work for a dealership then? The 3000 3 step system is popular among them

Yeah I'm a detailer and regional detail trainer for a dealership. We just got the 3000 3 step about a year ago, before that it was blue coral quick cut which sucked. It's nice but i would much rather be in a position to work on my own like your doing. Don't get me wrong i make pretty decent money but i would enjoy more freedom.
