    Engine: Detroit Diesel with two V8 92’s fitted with two blowers, four turbo chargers and injected nitrous oxide. The original 75mm injectors have been increased to 265mm pistons, con rods, crankshafts and camshaft have been balanced. Cylinders heads and air boxes have been ported and polished.

    Capacity: 25 litres or 1500 cubic inches.

    Output: 2200hp at 300rpm which can be boosted to 2800hp with the use of nitrous oxide.

    Again John Brooks shows us why he is a gem of a photographer. His camera has seen all that matters.

    To add, I'd really love to see them try that over the new Veedol Chicane at the Nurburgring Grand Prix circuit. (That's the same corner the Mercedes is in) It'd be suicidal.

    Nice shots! Usually flaming is caused by having sufficient unburned fuel in the exhaust where it ignites and continues to burn even outside the exhuast system.

    Is this different than a "lean induced" backfire? I heard that term tossed around.

    Pretty sure my car shot flames at least once...two of the injectors were DUMPING fuel into the engine.

    Ah, the joys of being an Alfa owner. Yes, it's getting fixed. Better than being engulfed in a cloud of smoke on the side of the road. I actually counted my blessings when I saw a Chrysler Concorde ON FIRE in front of the Mall of Georgia on Saturday.
