Default Newest mod, shortened the nose of the 7.

I might type up the whole story later but to summarize it someone slammed on their brakes on a slippery concrete not-really-pavement highway ramp facing downhill on wide tires with a good traction friendly heavy truck that has ABS and I locked up my wheels, slid down the hill and hit them. The cops were already there (the guy was stopping because he said he didn't know if the cops there were trying to stop him even though they were waving him by) and they said I probably could have been gonig slower since their blue lights mean "be cautious" , but the guy stopping on a 55 mph highway ramp didn't help. (I was going maybe 40?). Got a following too close charge, the F-150 I hit had no damage, and he just drove home.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

sounds like you got lucky. Where you cited as "at fault" or what?

I'm technically at fault, but the claim is only filed as an accident on a liability policy where the other driver has no damage. He drove home didn't ask for my ins info and I don't even know his name, he doesn't know mine, so I think it's dropping at that. My rates may raise a bit, and I'll have to cover the court fees of "following too close".

Oh yeah, motor is tucked WAAAAY back in there, the radiator hit the fan which is bolted to the waterpump bolted to the frotn of the motor, so lets jsut hope it punched a hole in the rad rather than cracking the front cover of the block ,but if it does it's a cheap fix. The motor, carb, exhaust, fuel pump, wheels, 2nd gen coil packs, and limited slip diff, are all I need to turn any first gen 7 back into that car, and I think all of that good stuff got preserved.

I have a friend who is going to help em tow it saturday morning, but the hood is jammed shut so you can't steal engine stuff and I stripped the interior and locked it.

Yeah I've got everything situated for my recovery. I've got a shell lined up, storage for the car, transportation for my down time, and a bunch of helping hands to do the swap. It's times like this where you learn who your real friends are you know? If all goes to plan, my car is going to be a WHOLE lot nicer when I'm done, so expect a few pics threads of a SHOWROOM quality car in about a month or two.

saw a red one, you can see the rear quarter window in the pic of my side view, but it's not a junk yard, it's a wrecker yard so you can't just go to it and pull shit off of the car. All those cars still belong to people, like mine.

Wasn't gonna go "pull shit off" of anyone's car.
If you remember, my last car that was wrecked was a black Mustang.
I was just curious to see if it's there. Guess not..

LOL at some of the pictures, and OP I'm glad you could laugh at them. Sometimes shit happens, and there isn't anything you can do about it. Might as well enjoy what you can.
