the thing is, you have a damn comment about EVERYTHING. you would think that you drove the most gangster, fastest track car on earth.
im just saying from your posts, i honestly cant even tell what you actually like, because most of everything that you dont own is "hate" worthy.
just sayin.

From the looks of some of those cages there some to stiffen up the body of the car for what ever type of racing they do and some meet the DOT crash safety stuff too, for that SERIOUS all out racer. Its kinda like having a 2 piston big brake kit and a 6 piston brake kit. Both are bigger but both serve different purposes for different applications.

It's all going to come out over the winter to really make it look right. Undercoat the interior, blast and paint the dash crossmember, etc.

What is there to like about unsafe shit? That's what in the majority of those pics!
UNSAFE SHIT.
Most of those cars aren't running harness bars. That can mean a compressed spine in a wreck!
Tell you what, THE DAY YOU QUIT BEIN A HARD REPPIN' HARDPARKER AND LEARN SOME SHIT, YOU MIGHT NOT INTERPRET IT AS BEING HATEFUL.

It's not a question of it being gay or not gay. I said it's unsafe. That one simple fact overrides taste, color, popularity, and price in my books.
What bothers me the most is that people who don't KNOW any better look at stuff like this and think that because it's in some magazine, that it's a good thing to do. It's misleading and it's wrong, plain and simple.
It's not a matter of being 'cool' or 'trendy,' it's personal safety. If you want to risk your life or ability to walk, then go right ahead and keep following terrific examples like the ones posted.
I'm sorry, I'm not gonna sit and agree with the masses of people that don't know any better and say that it looks good. Like I said, there is nothing good about unsafe bucket/harness setups.
It looks like shit because it's obvious the person is fucking clueless when it comes to proper installation of stuff like that.
I hope that clears it up.

hahaha yes
i dont see csmiths post as being anything wrong. i agree, he was stating how all these "track god" road atlanta dick suckers think that everything must be functional, and if it isnt its gay or something. and its really funny how all these guys drive some wack ass rides. oh man unsafe blah blah blah. the thread wasnt about whats in the cars, just about how theyre stripped. good god yall are fucking lame. they should start a new forum about track racing so yall can circle jerk every time someone talks about apexes and le mans
If you have ANY FORM OF CAGE, BAR, ETC. IT BETTER FUCKING BE FUNCTIONAL. What the hell is the point if it's not? A stripped car sure fine, add a cage to it that isn't functional and is for looks, it kills...great idea! Weak rides? You know what all of us drive or race? You own a Prelude...![]()
not being a douche, but im actually curious to what you do drive, cause apparently its some awesome ride. i remember you having a old bmw, and i have two cars homie, a 08 s2k and the lude.
oh and to afssil80, i wasnt directing my comment towards you, you are a cool dude and i know the point you were tryin to make.

I have an E30, it's not a POS though. I also have a E39 5 series BMW, it's a POS because it's a new BMW and new BMW's require more maintenance lol.
I don't care what I drive on the street, my money goes to the track, if I wanted to impress I'd be like you and buy an S2K which everyone has so I can try to be cool.
