Default New wheels on the Z

I've been looking for some wheels and tires for a while now hoping I could find some before Z Nationals, but no luck. Found these the day after the event and picked them up. Wish I had them in time, but I'm still stoked. 17" G35 coupe wheels with great tires.

I'm steel feeling this over the stockers a bunch Shaun, they work so well with your car, and the swapable Z center caps really finish the OEM modern look.

^^ Yeah, I drew a frame of a man running on each fan blade. That is him running at idle

i would think 350z wheels would look better. lower your car and the g35 wheels wont look as big on there. i think that would set it off

Shaun, when it coems time to replace the tires, get 225/45/17s, they're closer to your sock 225/50/16 diameter. I think that is what looks off. Here are some figures. The tire sizes you should get when you wear through the tires you have are highlighted in green.

225/50/16 (stock) Overall Diameter: 24.85 in 631.19 mm
225/50/17 (what you have now) Overall Diameter: 25.85 in 656.59 mm
    225/45/17 Overall Diameter: 24.97 in 634.23 mm
    225/40/17 Overall Diameter: 24.08 in 611.63 mm

    For the rears:
225/50/16 (stock) Overall Dimaeter: 24.85 in 631.19 mm
    245/45/17 Overall Diameter: 25.68 in 652.27 mm
    245/40/17 Overall Diameter: 24.71 in 627.63 mm
    245/35/17 Overall Diameter: 23.75 in 603.25

I think those wheels are pretty bad on a G coupe, and they don't look much better here.

I wonder if these 370Z rims would look good on your 300Z..

I'm sure there's gotta be a more agressive-looking G35/350/370Z-based rim than the ones on your Z now. No offense. It looks VERY plain.

yea, the 350z track wheels that look like volk te37's look great, but just wanted something subtle that updated the look a bit that weren't that expensive.

Who's hating? All I see are a few people giving some feedback. Just because someone doesn't like something doesn't mean they are hating on it.

Yeah, I think the vision of those who are voicing their opinions just differs from the look Shaun is going for, but I am sure Shaun appreciates hearing the viewpoints regardless. It's far from hating. Hating would be Telling Shaun he made a bad decision, and saying it makes the car look awful and such, this is far more mature than that.

well, it's difficult to put myself in the position of not liking the wheels on the car. So i think the people who dont like them are haters.

Looks fine to me. The taller sidewalls closed the fender gap.
