Wow, I am glad I saved $15.
awww I feel sad.
I'm sorry but that 350Z is atrocious.
shit looks like nopi nationals from when i was like 10 subtract about 80% of the cars
Those cars look ok to me but im sure its because those cars were at the motorsport nations is why they are not "HOT". On a bad day those cars look better then what i see everyday going to work, or various meets. There were no Rota wheels, primed out cars, mis-matched body panels, huge tach's on automatic civics, or im so JDM cause i have a sticker on my car. There was a NICE BMW 3series i saw that had a Big brake kit to die for. there were a few
moments but i see that at every first thursday of the month so its nothing new, its all a work in progress

Do you know how many cars you need to fill AMS? Thousands. THOUSANDS of cars. What event outside of the now defunt NOPI Nationals has THOUSANDS of cars?
Of course it will look empty. It also rained most of the weekend. I've been to events Lexus and Mercedes has held at AMS, free events and they were DWARFED by the size of AMS. Its HUGE!!!
I also drove right in b/c it was free Sunday and got to seem a few interesting things and I did enjoy the Skylines. It was a "different" show and to me more domestic catered than the NOPI Honda dominated show at AMS (rigs, RVs, etc). I enjoyed walking around and seeing whatever was offered. In this PISS POOR ECONOMY, I am sad to see ANYONE suffering or doing bad.
Funny SELOC went to NOPI most of the decade and we went strong a few years and the last couple of years we didn't participate much for a variety of reasons. In retrospect I truly see how that show as one of a kind, big, big, big, brash with tons to look at and do.
Now I wish I put more effort the last couple of years as I do miss our guys having a nice competition and making "reveals" during the NOPI Nationals. It truly was a one of a kind event. I mean "legs" from the North, South and West? Amazing!
I drove in the rain to Tunerfest to support the scene. I really was having a nice lovely day at home with the car in the garage but I told my G/F "I'm going to support what these guys are doing" even if its in the rain. It was great seeing a big turnout Saturday in the rain and people enjoying themselves and chilling. I am not going to sit here and say I was anymore wowed by the cars I saw Saturday than Sunday. I've seen most before. I drove what 50 miles or so in the rain one way to support IA an Atlanta.
If you want Motorsport Nationals to fail and fold, they probably will. They got rained out. I remember NOPI in the rain and it wasn't fun and attendance was down. I remember when the hurricane hit and well attendance was down. They lost thousands of dollars that weekend without a doubt.
Looking at the cars Saturday, were most going to pay the $65 or so to enter anyway? I think not.
I think the people at MotorsportNationals seriously overestimated attendance in the first place. Looking at the chart, I just don't see it filling up. The Handicapped section is hugeThe pricing was pretty identical to what NOPI was doing and I don't think many were willing to pay the same price for a much less known event. They also clearly screwed with the IA Admins/leaders last year and they responded in kind this year and had their own event that same Saturday.
I now miss the NOPI Nationals![]()
