I'd much rather run a wider front tire and be stable on turns instead of shaving a tenth or two off your et.

BTW, skinnies DRIVE better than wide wheels/tires... they don't wonder all over the road.

For the look, I'd say lower the rear...hope you have some relocation brackets to help settle that rear end when you launch. And those Kumho Powerstar 758s won't hold up very well if you start pulling higher trap speeds.

Other than that...keep it clean. Not many LT1s out there anymore...

wow you are the car driving god you figured out that the drag racers and track cars have had it all backwards.

I guess that means all those 4-8 sec cars running 3-5" rims are doing it wrong, and those track cars running 8-10" all the way around are all backwards wow!

Trust me I know this hince why I am laughing when he says that skinnies would work fine in auto-x events, and that skinnies actually handle better over larger rims/tires!

The less weight on the front along with skinny tires will cause a horrible handing effect, and also cause the front to wander.

And yes, we did it to the same car. Went from slicks and skinnys, to 20 by 9s, then went to the 17s on it now. Much better.

    Driving better = handling!

Now for the final nail....heres from the safety sheet of the Bogart Racing Wheel Website!

What are some safety issues I should be aware of?
All wheels and accessories are for racing only. They are not intended for street, road or highway use. They should not be used on race cars being towed. They are to be used only on track, courses, or strips designated for racing only. They should be used for their intended purpose (i.e. road race wheels for road racing only, drag race wheels for drag racing wheels only, etc.)

Have a nice day Special Ed!

By driving, I meant in a straight line, cruising down the road. I said HANDLING when I meant HANDLING, as in Auto-X, you dumb motherfucker.

And as far as the handling I need, as in drag racing... that is clearly obvious... NOT auto-x'ing. I have no idea where you got the idea I said skinnies are for auto-x. Maybe your lack of comprehension skills. LMAO.

Um driving better = handling better!

Driving better is "Oh gee I had tires that require 40lbs of air in them and I have been driving around at 25lbs, I filled them back up and now the car drives much better!"

Good cover, wont change the fact that even on welds there meant for drag racing use only, not for street use!

Looks good Evan if anything I would lower the front a little. I think the front should be low enough to get rid of the wheel gap and the back should be just high enough to fit the slicks. The front should always be lower than the back but thats just my opinion. Now get a procharger and call it a day lol.

Driving better is driving better. Handling better is handling better. It's useless trying to convey the simplest of concepts to you, though.

Guess it's a good thing I only have wheels that LOOK like Welds and aren't designed the same structurally/integrally, doofus.
