This wasn't designed by Gordon Murray. All that was his idea and not McLaren's.

I'm trying to figure why the tail lights are so hard to make out. I figured where they were thanks to one of the side shots.

LED bars, I think the R8 proved they're sexy. I like the car. I'll go ahead and put a deposit on one.

Murray left McLaren a few years ago but he hasn't really been involved with their Formula 1 program since the late 90's with Adrian Newey's time with Ron Dennis.

Murray is busy with the T25 city car right now but he has said very very recently (within the past week) that he wants to make a McLaren F1 successor. One that he would design.

    Took me a second....then boom.

Originally, that Aston Martin V8 Vantage that fell off the delivery truck popped into my head.

Yeah, I like the interior, I like the chassis, the body, it looks like a boring vague kit car.

Basically looks like an F1 that's been rounded off with 2 seats. I like the interior.

Makes me think what would happen to the F1 if the Chrysler design team got their hands on it.

It's the side angle. The lines are F1 lines. They are just less angular.

Here's hoping they make a better wheel choice then the first F1. Those were by far the ugliest wheels to ever come on a modern day supercar.

I was honestly expecting more. IDK looks like the took bits and pieces from everyone elses stuff that they liked and went from there.

I hate to say it but it's sort of a let-down. I see small influences from the F1 but overall...it just looks like "some supercar" which is sort of an oxymoron but I'm sure you know what I mean. It looks sort of "unfinished" to me...not ugly, just not exactly breathtaking.

I'll wait for the numbers though.

redid OP with some official shots from McLaren. Also, they are hi res.

The shots with Woking factory exteror are sex. I especially like the display of Prost, Lauda, Senna, and all other F1, Sports car, and Can Am racers.

That place is a dream of mine to go to. Maybe Hakkinen will be there.

In the past 24 hours, it has grown on me just slightly. But relating to the crazy in that pic, its all about the legends in the background.

Gordon Murray had as much to do with this car as The Commendatore Enzo Ferrari did with the Ferrari Enzo.

The interior reminds me of an R8. Mostly the doors and steering wheel. That wheel is def VW/Audi. I think it may be the one from the new GTI.

The F1 looks way much better.
Indeed, it really looks like the Lotus Evora which I hate...
