You guys obv don't know the roots of the scene that you are claiming to be a part of.Doesn't mean you have to like it- I'm sure you'll never see it on the street. It's a purpose built car - but just b/c of some of the things that are NOT done to it I can tell it isn't finished yet. BAD FUCKIN ASS IMO.
And this... i can haz??

lol I was just thinking the same thing. Function over form. Maybe could have done a bit of a cleaner job chopping it, and I really do hope that after all that the thing is a beast at the track lol.
PS I totally came in this thread expecting to see a hardtop s2k that had had the top chopped a few inches like hotrod style. Pleasant surprise.![]()
Fuck stance. Stance is for kids in skinny jeans with Justin Beiber haircuts. You don't need stance when you got swagger.
Lets see, its not 1/8" off the ground. No stretched tires, rusted hood or "hella-flush dopeness" offset. Is it any surprise half of IA hates this car?
That guy should be ridiculed at every event he goes too. If I saw that on a trailer heading to the track, I would make it my personal mission to ride next to him pointing and laughing the entire way.

Learning everyday.
Because it's rediculous looking. That's why. Everyone in the thread is saying this is a purpose built car, great. It's purposefully built to look goofy.
Every car that people posted up to bolster their arguement is a vintage car. They look good since the car is shorter as well. It fits. This car is a tall bodied car minus a windshield. He removed weight by removing the windshield....that's about the only saving grace that car has.
As for the other comment.
It's pretty low, has very nice offset especially for a race (supposed) car and ...well no rusted hood. 2 out of 3 ain't bad. But it does fit the other half of IA's nutswingers. It's lowered, basically stock looking minus the hack job and has wheels on it. Clean lovers can attach lips to tailpipe at this time.
Personally, I am a huge fan of function on a vehicle. But in this case, it just isn't doing it for me. All he has managed to do is ruin an S200 if the windscreen is not attachable. If it is, big kudos to that guy. But if it's not, it's gonna be at best a weekend racer that he's gonna be regretting on rainy race days.

Car show "ooh look at me" types usually don't connect w/ FUNCTIONAL mods. This is basically a racecar w/ reducing the drag co-efficient being number 1. It's unique - done very well (although unfinished) and shows the DEDICATION that the racer has. To each his own, but as stated this gets a thumbs up IMO.
He didn't "ruin" an s2000. It now has even less drag co-efficient than stock. It's lighter. He simply turned a "street-car" into a purpose built "racecar" - that's all he did.

It does? From 2 photos you can see the Dedication that the racer has? I see a basically stock S2000 with no windshield. Sure, it reduces some drag, along with the rear under valance.....probably Carbon Fiber along with the canards on the front. I see nothing that shows any dedication...except....cutting the whidshield off of an S2000. That I guess is dedication of sorts. If you got the money to do that sort of thing, great. I wholeheartedly support it. I honestly don't care that he fucked up an S2000, I just think it looks stupid. And no matter how much drag coefficient he got out of it, it's still a dumb mod......as I said above, specially on those race days where that less drag coefficient slams the water straight into his face as mother nature dumps out on him in turn 4.
I'd also like to see the rear end of the car. I wouldn't be suprised if it was still registered and he drove it on the street every now and again. If anyone has any other photos showing more about this car, stick em up.
