People modify 240's because a non-castrated version is available to pull parts off of, it's FR, has a good weight distribution and was designed to be driven. The fact that Nissan recycled the USDM engine in a bunch of cars means absolutely nothing. The car was not designed for that engine any more than that engine was designed for it; aka there is nothing special about it.

Woah there, didn't mean to knock that chip off your shoulder. I said nothing about the fitness of the Altima to be modified, I said that the reason he gave for doing it wasn't valid.

And a side note or two about being "different", not necessarily pertaining to what you said.

1) A lot of the time. being different just to be different is as bad as being JDM just to be JDM. "Yeah it's a Kia Optima, but you can't hate on it because I'm being different".

2) Just because you are unique does not mean you are useful.
