    Default Batlground: 03' Audi TT

This is a customers 03 Audi TT we just finished on Tues. Custom FMIC was fabricated to fit with as little modification as possible. It Fits behind the factory bumper beam with no cutting. The bumper cover had to have the headlight squirters removed to make room for the I/C piping. NO CUTTING. We just unbolted them and made the pipes to fit. I decided it would be best to have the inlet/outlets curve parallel to the bumper cover rather than straight with couplers visible. We also did the lower intercooler piping rather than the silicone hoses offered aftermarket. We did use the silicone upper hoses designed specifically for the TT. The intercooler and piping were all polished after completion for a great finish.
Also done on this job was a custom down pipe. We removed the factory piece and cut it below the flex section. The factory D/P is 3" before the flex and 2.5" after, it then splits into two 2" pipes that go to twin CATs. We removed everythig after the flex and made a 2.5" single pipe going to a high flow CAT. Everything bolts in the stock locations.

The couplers sit behind the bumper cover here, you cant even see them!

looks good guys...nice job of hiding the couplers, it's the little things that people miss that make the installs so much better!

It looks worse than it is because of the heat shield around the D/P. Inside the pipe is nice and smooth flow. Audi actually made a pretty nice piece and its not Cast!

I ran catless on a 1.8T for 3 years without any serious codes. It would pop up occasionally with the catalyst below threshold, but it usually went away after a day or so. Its a dub, if you dont have a CEL you need more mods

I picked up some cheap ($3 or so) 02 simulators on Ebay and they worked great. I know 42DraftDesigns sells a nicer one that is supposedly more effective, but the cheap ebay ones worked fine for me.

Stock turbo. No CEL's. It is a pretty big core, the customer wanted to make sure it filled up the opening in the bumper cover. It also has a large "face" surface area instead of a deep thickness.
