So i decided to jump half heartedly back into the Honda game. I always kinda felt unfulfilled when it came to my 240whp old CRX. I didnt have it long, it wasnt really what i wanted, it was too complicated, etc etc etc. I felt like i rushed it and didnt take my time.
I was severely turned off to all the car modification stuff due to money, problems, frustration for a LONG time. I still kinda am, but i wanted to rebuild my original CRX i owned and what kinda made me a real honda enthusiast. i used to own a 190whp CRX that was oem parts, beat the shit out of it and it was reliable. It was simple, fun, quick and a blast to drive.
So i decided to keep it simple, and went back to my roots. I started with a 1990 CRX HF that had a b16 with LSD in it.
Then i went and saw my friends over at Mainstream Performance, THE HONDA/ACURA authority. Afterall they dont make excuses , they make power :P
Mainstream Performance is taking care of all the swap needs, fabrication, etc for me and i cant say thanks enough! onto the pics!
New heart waiting to go in
I didnt have any traction bars, so instead of notching my crossmember, Charles got creative and ended up cutting the center out of the crossmember, and adding a Bar to give me more clearance. Temporary till my traction bars come in, but it works and functions great.
Im doing some other stuff soon like getting rid of those ugly wheels and seats, putting some other stuff on it and a tad bit more motor work. Mainstream is also cleaning up all the wiring from the previous owners that was kind of a mess haha.
Scotty will tune it for me maybe sometime next week.
Should be fun!
