Default My step-dad's first wreck v.corvettecarnage

Yeah so on Friday (July 10th) @ about 6:30-ish, my step-dad crossed into an intersection with a red light and was t-boned in Snellville @ the 124/Oak Road intersection. You may have seen it on the news or heard it on the radio. Anyway... my step-dads been driving for about 35 years with no accidents, so he figured why not do it right if you're going to do it I guess.

He was unconscious after the impact and a police officer that was first on the site pulled him out while the car was on fire. He got out with nothing but about 6-7 stitches on his head and a bunch of bruises and minor scrapes. The other vehicle's driver got 50+ staples in her chest area with some internal injuries but is said to be doing well now.

He came into the intersection at about 38 mph. He just didn't see the red light and never hit the brakes or anything. She was going about 38mph as well (new chevrolets have a black box) and t-boned him in the door/hood area and then flipped over, he spun and hit the side of her vehicle and smashed up his bumper.

Anyway. On to what you came here for:

    Drive safe, kids.
