    Default Fabrication at the shop...

New unit that jjmastertech fabbed up for a customers car...and this is not for the wanna be's, this is for the hardcore weight reduction guys who are all about taking out every oz. they can

full aluminum, no cat, no muffler, weighs in just over 3lbs total. saved around 30lbs of weight and the customer picked up 3psi of boost over the previous exhaust without changing anything but this

we will be doing a 3" setup on another customers car soon thats getting a complete build and shooting for 600hp daily who said "i've literally shit terds that have weighed more than this....though not as big"

    Very nice!

Wierd people don't sell aluminum exhausts, I had seen one before but it was also custom.

the cost is probably the issue....this setup wasn't cheap, but the other guy getting one came in, felt the difference between the two systems for that car and threw down cash on the spot to add it to his build

it also helps to be in an area that doesn't require emissions as well

How much does something like that run? Just curious.

Looks good though. I know who to use for aluminum welding if I can't get it done at school. lol

it definitely has a unique sound to it, it was described as the car being underwater...its actually pretty quiet for not having a cat or muffler

Shouldnt be bad and you will lose even more weight as the S2000 has the 2 mufflers. It def aint that raspy, has a unique tone to it.

what sort of mandrel bender did you use, or did you purchase the sections with the bends?

I can't see the welds from these pics, but I trust its quality Kudos!

Purchased bends. We cut and sectioned everything together for maximum flow
and chassis clearance. It went through a 550 mile test period with no problems
with cracking or anything else so it will be reinstalled for more testing. We
removed it to check for any kind of issues and only found one pinhole leak.
The road/track test is why it has a little dirt after the front, lol.

Nice, sounds like you guys know what you're doing! Do you do any water or compressed air testing, or simply install and test?

On critical stuff such as radiators and i/c piping we will test with whichever method is appropriate. We even do some dye pen testing if we think it is necessary. If it is going to fail want to find out before the end user does.
