    Default 6/22-24/09 Deals Gap/The Dragon

    Well, the wife and I went on our 2 year anniversary. We always go to Deals Gap. 318 curves in 11 miles... blah blah.. this was our 3rd year doing this together. It was good this year. Kinda blah, tho.. They were performing road work on the shoulders/pull offs, so, only half the road was open game. Had some good runs, but those damn baggers... Needless to say, if you are not good at riding/driving in turns, you shouldn't go there. Just Sayin'. Last night, which was our anniversary, I took the wife on the Cherohala Skyway, for a beautiful sun-set. Not many pics, but still got a few.

    This thing was crazy.. It had an actual motor underneath the fake motor, jockey shift, semi rear wheel and tire, working headlight and tail light. It was awesome.

    Dragon is fun... Skyway is better.

    THe 'other roads' are MUCH better. Dragon type corners with close to zero traffic and no cops.

    thanks man. I like the skyway, but I'm just a sucker for the tight corners. lol. The Hellbender is also a good road to take, but we only did half of it. And a big shocker was the fact that NO LEO's were on the dragon... NONE.. So, it was open game. Last year I got a speeding ticket for doing 43 in a 30. lol... this year was better besides the road work.

    I was up there camping about 3 weeks ago. They were only on one corner doing work so it wasn't bad. No officers on the dragon itself... just a group waiting for those going 'backwards' out towards the lake... catching speeders flooring it out of the wood and out on the straight... sucks for all those guys.

    Luckily on the way back through our group of BMWs got stuck behind a group of minivanners and we were barely moving.
