nope its definatly uniform cuz i was worried about that too, but i think its giving that appearance because of the reflectors inside. but both i think are good methods, especially if another coat of clear is applied afterward.

Looks good man, Like everyone else and yourself said, once the reverse lights are smoked, they won't stick out so much. I personally like the black on your car. I've seen it done on my car before and I hate it for some reason ha so that's why I went with all red which I like better and as long as you like what you've got, who cares what these people think.

Oh, and I used to love the EBP Si growing up but I've seen SOO many of them and they just kinda blend in with the rest of the old school honda crowd. So, this Z = not soo cookie cutter to me.

i did mine that way.. over reducing black base. it worked prefect. then you dont have to put so may coats of clear and risk running it.

also when i did mine a buffer was not needed.

it works either way obviously... it just how people want to do it....i have done both way. but over reducing base is the way to go so much easier.

buffing it wasnt bc of orange peel or any texture it was bc there was a few pieces of trash in the clear, and plus buffing always makes the clear shinier
and risk running the clear? lol proper flash times noob

Oh, ha my bad. That wasn't very clear. I just meant that that body style and color was one of my favorite cars growing up, and I've just "out grown" them I guess. I don't know how to type it out ha. and I didn't mean old school like your car (which I would love to drive) but like the 90's body style. It was simply an age comparison between the 99 and mine (07)

Hope that cleared it up. I always think I'm typing ok and it usually gets F'ed up by the end of the paragraph or w/e. I need to do some editing next time ha.

Oh ok. Well then its all down to personal oppinion on which process works. aslong as it works its all good lol. and the extra coat of clear isn't really needed but i do that anyways just bc i like to make sure.

I had a buddy of mine that works at a dealership smoke the lights on my blazer even though its a junker i just wanted to do something to it. I used the can at first and it turned out like dog shit. I accidentally quick waxed the lights and within weeks it started to crack off like hell. Then i had the guy at the dealership do it for me i believe its something like ten coats of clear and baked in the booth. Im not one hundred percent sure though.
