no. the Ke somethings are cars with K series motors. the Te somethings have T series motors. and the Ae somethings have A series motors. see the trend?
so lets brake down the Te72 real quick, since its the car i own and easiest for me to do. the corollas chassis code go from the E10 all the way to the current E150...thats 15 generations of corolla. so the Te72 would be part of the E70 series corolla, orthe 7th generation. The T represents the engine that came in the car, the 3TC. The E72 represents the second revision of the seventh generation of the corolla. so you put it together and you get Te72. The Ae86 is another popular corolla so we will break it down too. The A represents the motors that came in the car, the 4ac and the 4ag. the E86 represents the 6th revision of the 8th generation, the E80. put it together and you haz the Ae86. sometimes you get curveballs, like when they put A series motors in 7th gen corollas. thats the Te71.

yea once you break down a few chassis codes it kinda becomes a second nature thing. its always better to have it explained and have examples shown than to look at a chart. next time post pics of my Te72 wagon
