    Default My pics from the Nurburgring 24h







    This circuit is fucking unbelievable. You do not get a proper feel for its dimensions on Gran Turismo. It goes through multiple small towns. It took me over an hour to walk down the straight, and a 20 minute bus ride to get to Adenau, a small town on the opposite side of the circuit. It is not a typical facility like Road Atlanta or any other track, except maybe the GP course. Most spectators probably didn't even buy tickets, you can just park your car somewhere and walk through the woods up to the fence and camp there.



    I first got there Saturday morning after a horrible night in the train, the 3-hour classic race was already under way. The BMW M1 was fast as hell and by far the best sounding car all weekend.



























    Anyways for the actual 24h race, I apologize in advance that I didn't concentrate on the photography, was busy having fun! Sorry if they are kinda shitty. Some of our supplies for the night





    Everybody had tents except us, we just passed out on the grass LOL. We were on a hill overlooking the track, it was nice. I woke up shivering like hell from the cold multiple times, around 4am there must have been like 5 safety cars on the track cleaning up an accident. Ran around a bit to warm up, it worked. Then I wake up again and its 9am and my face is getting sunburt lol. I sit up and see an Audi A4 going by and BOOM there goes the motor right in front of me just as I woke up.

    They came out blurred, I was using my P/S on full zoom... I only had the camera out for like 30 minutes so thats only 2 or 3 times that you see each car going by.

    That makes sense. No matter, you got to see a good race through out. The TV coverage was appalling. I think during the entire race, 5 hours was properly televised. For the rest, it was a shot of pit lane.

    Oh that sucks. But we didn't have a big screen near us so we had no clue what was going on either, unless it happened right in front of us.
