    I would def put a diesel in it, more than likely something like the Cat C9. Its what they use in transit buses and shit so you know it can handle the weight and have long term reliability.

    Bore/Stroke 4.53 x 5.87 (115mm x 149mm)
    Displacement 9.3 L (567 cu in)
    Weight 1650 lbs (748 kg)
    Horsepower 285 to 335 @ 2200 rpm
    Torque 890-1150 lb-ft @ 1400 rpm

    As far as lifting it, no. It you raise it too much the center of gravity is much too high. This would make it more vulnerable for the zombies to tip it over, which means /life
