    Recently got my frist car so here it is..


    originally wanted a civic hatch or coupe but did find one =( so this came to me cheap so i had to get it its a 5-speed Mitsubishi Lancer 2002 OZ ehhh its and ok first car currently learning to drive stick so w.e iam not trying to make this an EVO wannabe okay so dont hate =D spoiler came with the car

    pics



    But need some info like the following




    • Where do get some lowering springs for the lancer =D
    • (diffrence between lowering springs and coilovers?)
    • Where to get a nice CF hood
    • where to get a nice paint job(poorly painted hood)
    • where to get my wheels painted

    For all your paint needs, Hit up, The Bucky or call the number in my sig pic. Satisfaction guaranteed.

    Lowering springs just replace the stock springs on the stock struts. Coilover sleeves do the same, but you're able to adjust ride height.

    reliable vehicle.. good first car. google lancer forums.. and have at it... i know there are plenty of modded lancers around. Theres 1 guy on here with a evo conversion..for sale. im sure he can help u out!

    sht forgot to mention this is car is not ment to be modded maybe just lowerd and nice wheels thats bout it ill enjoy it then get my hatch =/ lol i know lancers are a bit hated

    I would understand reliability... But why put in a good amount of money to mod a car to look good??? Never really seen a good looking lancer...

    And performace wise, how do you expect to make good power? Would be non cost efficient..Right?

    isnt that the whole point.. There is no fun in stock? Unless your a honda owner...lol



    there was a guy with a boosted lance, using a evo kit...and it made good numbers. As far as looking good, thats all opinion based.

    Yeah....not my taste of car either...but neither is the prelude. It was my first......5 years ago that is...

    I would definately get the Evo wanna be spoiler off....dont know about dumping $$$ into it IMO, but that is all you. Depends on how much extra you have to spend.

    The REAL question is.....how old are you? Just turn 16 and get your license?

    who said you have to do all of that? im sure if he could afford and or wanted an evo he would get one. its like saying, why buy a civic hatch and put a k20 in it, when you could buy a mugen... ... it works both ways!

    Man, my first car was a V6 Auto Mustang ha but I loved it. It wasn't as fast as a GT but I had fun in it. I do enjoy the civic more but yeah, there's always a special place for your first car in your heart.. ha NO HOMO..

    BUT... there's nothing wrong with the lancer. Have fun, and just be smart with it. You'll be straight...

    iam 18 and yes its my first car
    that i can actually call my own that i bought with my own money i got my license late so thats i why ive taken so long in gettin a car
    AND THE CAR WAS BOUGHT IN ONE CASH PAYMENT SO NO WORRIES ON PAYMENTS xD

    and yet again not dumping large sums of money to modd it

    I beg to differ. The lancer and the evo are two completely different cars. Only similarity is that body style lancer you have is the old evo 7 body style. Other than that, nothing else is the same.

    Different motors, transmissions, etc.

    But like I said in your other thread, it's not a bad car, just don't waste money on modding it. Make it look clean if you want, but you are not going fast on that thing unless you spend big money. Being that you are 18, i doubt you have a bunch of money.

    You should go for that same look in the other thread, that lancer was pretty clean.

    congrats!! a buddy of mine has a one with a handfull of bolt on goodies. hella fun car to drive... def not very fast but he has drove the freaking sht outta it for the past 3 years. i'm honestly suprised at how tough these cars are. don't worry about the negative ppl on here its your car that you paid with so ENJOY IT!!

    I agree with JITB... You do realize that you drive a 4 door family sedan, right? Some people could argue that modding something like an Accord is just as much of a waste... But because it's a Honda, you get a free pass from 90% of IA.
