Got myself a DD....turbo single slam ftw!

been contemplating a dd for a while, and ran across a deal last week that i couldnt pass up from Justin at JJSPEC Racing, plus it brings me back to where i started with imports, a black on black on black turbo single cam civic.

going to try to keep my foot out of it and get better than the 14mpg i get with the GTO

88 civic hatch
D15b1/y8 head 10.5:1 comp
T3 super45 Turbo
RC 330cc inj.
GReddy Emanage
JJSPEC tune
3" down pipe
2.5" exhaust
short shifter
couple gauges and what not

E.g. front brake conversion
Rear disc brake conversion
Rear sway bar
2" drop
Camber Kits

lol. My hatch was pretty quick when I got rid of it, pretty sure I could've gotten a 13.5 on street tires, at least a 13.3 on slicks.

justin is a good buddy of myne thats how i now the speedo meter dosnt work lol, iv rode in this car very fast for what it is. i think justin builds the best singles, the civic he did before this one is still the fastest car iv ever rode in, his buddy chris owns it now. this hatch is a nice dd

Ha, I used to get 14mpg in my old s2000 on the highway. City I got around 9mpg. Congrats on the fuel efficient civic

Something about Boost displacement in the cylinder. If you have a high compression, when you add boost you cause more strain or more pressure. or....oh something like that, its 3:30am, im tired.lol.

i hear ya, Justin is definitely a good guy, not many people id trust to purchase a used car form nowadays....but the speedo works, and if all goes as planned Justin already has the white car back....word has it he was going to pick it up last night

as far as the high compression goes it's all in the tune, and im just a set of headstuds and a cometic gasket away from kicking the boost up into the double digits

SHHHH! don't give it all away man! everybody knows if you're gonna turbo a honda it had better have 8:1 pistons or it's gonna blow up!

I see nothing wrong with that compression. Long as its built right and tuned right.It should move out no doubt
