I like the corners and stuff, and that's just what the ITR was built for. That E36 sure wasn't built for that. And I'm only speaking for that trim. This opinion has NOTHING to do with E36 M3's.

I think it's a downgrade but everyone will have their opinions.
    Your lack of experience shows.

Stock 325is with bilsteins/H&R/weight reduction vs a FIELD of M3's or E30's with M3 motors.
This car does 44's on Road Atlanta with street tires. To give you a perspective there are two guys who do BMWCCA track days with ITR's on coil overs, R comps and they run 48's.

That car was running 1:08's. It would take a field of mods to get an ITR within seconds of that

At what point do facts supersede opinion? If you really think that then you're scared of the e36 and simply don't know how to drive it. Even stock the car is so neutral not to mention I'm sure the e36's you drove had broken rear trailing arm bushings. You ever driven an M3? What's the difference? 40hp and a more rigid suspension? You can buy stock m3 shocks and springs for a few hundred $$$.

I've been involved with the extreme end of both Honda's and BMW's. Put an added$15k+ into the ITR/Civic/Del Sol and you can have a car that will out maneuver the BMW. Put that $15k into the BMW...holy

You think strut bars are going to prevent understeer? LOL!!! It's called turn in and gently lift the throttle to get it to rotate then get back in it.

Also helps if the car has a proper alignment.

Dude....I'm talking here about a STOCK ITR and a STOCK E36......You're throwing in a 325 with modifications to it. Move aside fan boy.

Damn didn't know I drove 5 different ones with the same problem. I don't understand why everyone on IA has to have sand in their vaginas when someone gives their opinion. I mean, I saw E36's ALL DAY EVERY DAY...BORING !!! ITR are rare and are becoming even more rare with all the thefts and accidents. Like I said.....I would rather drive a ITR ANY DAY than a E36 325. Don't get me wrong I love me a BMW and I've been in search of a clean E30 for a while now but I just think the ITR was better.

Too bad this car is a 328, about the same power but more torque...not to mention the upgrades.

BMW used natural rubber for all their bushings. Natural rubber deteriorates much faster than synthetic bushings. There's a good change 4/5 or even 9/10 e36's you drive need the bushings replaced, especially the RTABS. As long as the e36 has good condition bushings it will out handle the ITR in EVERY aspect stock for stock.

If you're accustomed to FWD's then you won't be able to drive the e36 to its full potential, not even close.
