    I can't fully take the credit for it though, the rare XD version of the Discovery [off-road rally race version] has the same painted hood. I believe the Disco I XD only came in yellow though. I'm 6'-3"+ and the seats force you to sit upright so the glare is an issue, on the hood and the windshield. When I did it years ago I'm positive I was the only silver Land rover with it but if I did it again I'd use a flat black vinyl instead of paint! Even though I did it properly and even put a thin matching silver pin stripe around the edge to make it seamless.
