On the Honda challenge cars we ran aluminum wings and ALWAYS got shit for it by other teams. The Del Sols would run well over 140mph at Road Atlanta [and the Prelude was clocked doing 151 in the back stretch]. Without them the cars would rotate way too much in the turns and was too unstable at higher speeds. Put that same wing on a street car and it would look ridiculous lol! Nothing like blowing past 100% full race 911's and BMW's at VIR going up to the roller coaster during sprint and endurance races then veteren drivers coming to our paddock afterwards asking what's in that thing...200+whp, about $8k in suspension, and years of aerodynamic testing = a quick car.
